چکیده

neuromuscular diseases are abnormal processes involving cns (central nervous system), pns (peripheral nervous system), nmj (neuromuscular junction), muscle or any combination of these. our goals in neuromuscular disease are maintenance of function, quality of life, educate patient and family, anticipate needs, expect change and prevent or delay complications. limb contractures and scoliosis, weakness, ambulation problems, restrictive lung disease, cardiac complications chronic pain, psychosocial and vocational considerations equipment and exercise prescription are our main focus in neuromuscular problems. the use of exercise in patients with a neuromuscular disease is often controversial. it appears that some form of exercise is both physically and psychologically beneficial throughout the disease process. an interdisciplinary team that includes physiatrists, physical and occupational therapists, speech pathologists, orthotics, dieticians, social workers, psychologists, and others can work effectively to provide the needed care for patients and their families.
